$10 Tickets Available for the Hockey Canada Cup

VANOC issues a press release today which states: The top-ranked female hockey players in the world will face off this week in downtown Vancouver on the same ice where gold will be decided at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games in less than six months time. This is the first women's competition of the 2009-2010 International Ice Hockey Federation's (IIHF) season and one of the last competitions before the Games. For information on tickets, which start at $10, www.hockeycanada.ca. Fans can also take advantage of a full-tournament package for $120.

For the 5th year in a row, Swiss Youth Hostels sponsored a camp site at the Gurten Music Festival, one of the largest music festivals in Switzerland which lasts for 4 days.  Festival-goers can laze on large pillows in the lounge, meet people, play games or get in on the action with activities organised by Swiss Youth Hostels. Hostelling Turns 100 - You Get to Celebrate!

Hostelling turns 100 this year and you get the prizes!  Back in 1909, German school teacher Richard Schirmann started the hostelling movement, which then came to Canada in 1933.  For the Centennial Celebration, International Youth Hostel Federation hostels (IYHF) around the globe are marking the occasion with giveaways.
