Back To Basics at HI-Hilda Creek
Several years ago we lost a favourite amongst hostellers. One of the cabins at HI-Hilda Creek burned down. This was a tragedy for those of us who enjoyed its quirky ambiance and perfect location. Can you believe another year has whizzed by? It's that time again when we reflect on the past 12 months and look forward to the next; and of course it is time to set those New Year’s resolutions, and try to stick to them this year! Who knows what 2011 will bring, but one thing is for certain, as the clock strikes 12, people will be partying and enjoying the fireworks and celebrations around the world.

HI-C-PM Region Townhall Meeting
The HI-C-PM Region Townhall meeting took place in Calgary in September 28 and Edmonton, September 29. Several members attended the townhall to meet with HI Board members and provide feedback about hostelling in Western Canada. For the first time, the Calgary townhall meeting was broadcast online using webinar software, an emerging technology that will help keep our members engaged with HI-C-PM Region and its goals.
