MEMBER NOTICE: AGM 2011 AND TOWNHALL MEETING

Vancouver City Chase

On Saturday, HI Vancouver Jericho Beach were one of the many ChasePoints dotted around Vancouver for competitors taking part in the Mitsubishi City Chase.

Hundreds of teams of 2 competed to take the winners crown. Winners are put through to the national competition and if they win that, they get a brand new Mitsubishi car and progress to the World Championships! Read more »

Bowen Island Tour (Vancouver)

Recently a group of staff and guests from HI-Jericho Beach went on the Bowen Island tour which is run every Sunday from HI-Vancouver Central.  With its temperate rainforest, beautiful lakes, winding trails and abundance of wildlife, we were taken aback at how such a small island could hold so much and were blown away by its beauty! Vancouver Fringe Festival

The annual Fringe Festival of Vancouver arrives in the city on September 8th! It is the largest theatre festival in British Columbia and the most international in North America. There will be over 600 performances over the 11 days with everything ranging from drama to comedy and improvisational performances to musicals. Read more »

COUNT DOWN TO THE RUGBY WORLD CUP IN NZ

New Zealand will be in the spotlight during September and October when the country plays host to the Rugby Union World Cup. The Kiwis are well known for being rugby lovers and their national team, the All Blacks, are one of the favourites to take the cup. Canada is one of the 20 teams competing in the All Blacks’ home country.
