We want to know what you think about our membership. It doesn’t matter if you’re a current member or if you’ve just considered becoming one, we would like to hear your opinion. Have stayed at several and they were always lovely. Thanks.

I highly value my membership

I highly value my membership and recently used it when I traveled from Vancouver to Victoria over Easter. I had stayed at the hostel in Victoria years ago.

As the newsletter stated, they offered a discount of 20 % and that way I was able to stay at the hostel for 3 (three) nights at the very reasonable rate of $ 60.00 in total.

However, it would really have been nice if they offered breakfast included - as so many hostels do these days. It is a good possibility to meet other hostellers, communicate and get to really know each other much better.

Anyway, I met an interesting traveller from my home country and we spend 2 days together, exploring, visiting the Royal BC museum, walking along the port, etc.

I value the membership because I can rest assured of a certain standard instead of encountering "bugs" hanging from mattresses as in really low budget for profit organisations!

I will be staying in Hi Hostels for the first time this spring. I have been a member since 2007. I really love receiving the Outpost magazine and when I went to France in 2007 the telephone card was invaluable. It worked for me even in cases where my travelling companions could not use their locally purchased cards.
