Need some travel inspiration for 2012?

I guess if 2012 is going to be the end of the world, then we better make the most of it and see as much of it as we can! Where are you planning on going this year? Tell us all about it in the comments section below. Here are some places that are on HI’s wish list:

Florida

It seems like everyone at the HI-C-PM Regional office is heading to Florida this year! This State definitely has plenty to do. Theme parks for the kids and big kids, fantastic beaches, and the heavenly Florida Keys. Florida offers so much and really is a top fly-drive destination.

Penang, Malaysia

If it is a vacation full of culture and great food, then Penang is the island for you. Visit Kek Lok Si Temple, see the Reclining Buddha, take a ride on a trishaw and try the amazing street food on offer.

Edinburgh

A must do city, Edinburgh takes you back in time with its historic buildings, cobbled streets and castle perched on top of the hill. Visit during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival or Hogmanay and you’re sure to have a blast! 

Norway

Hike over glaciers; bike around lakes and fjords; go cross-country skiing; spot wildlife, venture into the arctic circle and hang out in the hip cities!

London

Site of the 2012 Summer Olympics, London is sure to be one of the most exciting places to visit this year. Besides that little event, you could partake in one of the many shows of the Cultural Olympiad, or celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Mexico

Finally, why not head to the Yucatán Peninsula and visit the many Mayan ruins, where you can learn all about the Maya and their 2012 predictions! In between all the sightseeing make sure you leave time to relax on the stunning beaches.
