Join in the Kananaskis 100-Mile Relay
The popular K-100 Relay will hit the foothills of the Rockies on June 19, 2010. While you've got until the 30th of April to register, you can save $50 by registering by this Friday.
The K-100 is a 100-mile relay race in Kananaskis Country, Alberta. Every year, 180 teams of 10 race through the hilly terrain. All money generated from the race goes back into Hostelling International Canada Pacific Mountain Region to improve hostels and services for budget travellers from around the world.
To learn more and to sign-up, visit the K-100 website.
Race organizers are also looking for volunteers so if racing isn't in your future, you can still lend a hand.
HI-C-Pacific Mountain Region hosts a number of fundraising running events in Alberta and British Columbia over the year. Keep an eye on www.hihostels.ca/running for all the details.
