I was out on opening ceremony night - here a little taste of what it was like!
OK, this post is a bit behind the times, but Friday was a rainy night and the population of Vancouver was out to celebrate the opening of the Winter Olympics with gusto - there would be no damp squib that's for sure!
Events were taking place around the city and every pub, restaurant and shop window was showing the ceremony!
People were all over the streets and I joined a few thousand in Robson Square watching the event as it was projected onto the side of the Sears building....
The best bit was running to see the torch go past...
So much energy out on the streets!

You got to see Wayne! Wow that is so awesome, such a hush hush situation prior to. I can't believe you were so close to him. Vancouver is of it's nut at the moment.....I am so looking forward to more of your blogs, you are doing a great job of making me very jealous.
