HI's Blog the Games winner, Dan HB, is currently skiing his days away in the French Alps but soon enough he'll be Canada-bound for the Vancouver Olympics as HI's Olympic video-blogger. Have a look at his gracious acceptance speech above.
For the first week of the Olympics, Dan will be in the streets of Vancouver, filming the fan action and all the stuff you won't see on T.V. Do you have ideas about how Dan should spend his time in Vancouver? Particular spots he should hit-up or people he should try to talk to? Have your say in the comments.

Definitely visit Queen Elizabeth Park and the quarry gardens on Little Mountain, on the south side of Vancouver. Maybe even the conservatory. And if the weather cooperates, it would be great to show Mount Baker (Koma Kulshan) looming over Vancouver from 50 miles (80 km) away....
Hey Dan. Go to "Splitz Burgers" in Whistler, near the 7-11. its amazing, the staff are rad, and you might even get in on a see-how-much-you-can-eat contest. Trust me, best burgers on the planet!!!! Enjoy! Alex:-)
Hi Dan and congratulations. Do you remember asking for my crucial vote in the bar?
Dan mate I reckon you should have a go at the ski-jump with your helmet cam to give us all an "Eddie the eagle"'s eye view! Am sure that would boost the ratings!
Dan,
You seem like a cool guy, and so as a local Vancouverite I want to guide you in the right direction for visiting cool places. Make sure you get out to Commercial Drive which is off the beaten path of "touristy" Vancouver. It's in East Van and is a super multicultural neighborhood with lots of interesting characters, stores and restaurants. Make sure to eat at Havana's restaurant, where you can sit on the heated patio and watch all the people wandering about.
Also, be sure to hop on the skytrain which is always a great way to see the city. You can take it right down to Waterfront station, and then hop on the seabus to North Vancouver to Lonsdale Quay. It's a beautiful view of the city. Have fun!
Dan, take a free walking tour with Steve, the Vancouver Tour Guy. He's doing them daily during the Olympics: http://www.tourguys.ca
You have to go eat at White Spot at least ONCE - it's very BC. Try the Triple O burger it's AMAZING!! There's a nice location down at the entrance to Stanley Park...although the BEST way is to go to one with a Car Hop service ( that is if you have a car or can get someone to take you!!)
Also, try the Mongolie Grill on Broadway - it is the orginal location and the owner was French Canadian - his son is in charge of it now...it's stir fry - you design with rice and flat bread! YUM
Stanley Park is a must, and if you can do the Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver - talk to the hostel...they will have the way!! Try to get down to Kitslano beach area also.
Enjoy our city - there are truely lovely areas all around, so much variety.
