Believe in Hostelling
Hostelling International - Canada - Pacific Mountain Region is implementing an ongoing and important process of engaging the organization's "owners", essentially members that care about hostelling and the association beyond just staying with us. This is an ongoing initiative so please watch for notices of engagement sessions taking place in Alberta and British Columbia.

Weekend Meetup Sessions
Our Board would like to invite you to apply to the third phase of our engagement strategy. We have one scheduled meetup session left as follows:
Member Weekend Meetup (by invitation)
Doesn't a weekend in Lake Louise with your fellow hostellers sound good?
You could be one of the 11 HI members chosen to take part in a HI Board of Directors meet-up weekend in Lake Louise.
Your volunteer Board of Directors is hosting a member meet-up June 21-23rdat HI Lake Louise. Our objective is to gather a group of members from various backgrounds to voice their thoughts on a number of topics your Board would like feedback on.
During the weekend members will partake in a local hike and enjoy meals as a group. This is a unique opportunity for you to get to know other members in your region, get involved in the hostelling movement, have a say and make an impact on what your regional Board is doing.
If you are interested in joining us for the weekend please send an email to dialogue@hihostels.ca telling us your name, age and where you live. Also, please tell us:
- Why you would like to attend the meet up
- One strategic hostelling issue you would like to discuss
We will confirm attendees the week of May 27th. Selection will be based on answers to the above questions.
Pre-arranged transportation to and from Edmonton/Calgary/Red Deer and HI-Lake Louise, accommodation and meals will be provided. For members outside Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary we will consider transportation options on a case by case basis.
