The 2010 True North Hostelling Association AGM is being held in Vancouver this year, on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Vancouver Lookout (555 W. Hastings St.) at 7PM. We have scheduled it in September instead of mid to late June as has been the recent practice. Your Board of Directors considered feedback from members in making its decision to move to a fall date. We believe that a fall AGM will allow more members to attend as we all get back to daily routines of work and school as the days become even shorter. The AGM is also being scheduled on a weeknight to make the event more accessible.
The Townhall meetings are also scheduled in September in Calgary, Tuesday, September 28, 2010, and in Edmonton, Wednesday, September 29, 2010. We are currently exploring options to allow even more members access to one of these events through the use of new technologies. In addtition, we are hoping to make both the AGM and the Townhall meetings more interesting to attend and encourage you to stay tuned and to be involved in your association.
